District Leaders/ Directors of Special Education, We are excited to share with you a wonderful free training opportunity to enhance Assistive Technology supports and services in your district. NEIU Training and Consultation (TaC) staff are committed to ensuring our member districts have strong and sustainable assistive technology practices. We strongly encourage you to identify key staff members who will lead these efforts in your districts. Key staff members can include but do not have to be limited to: Related Service providers (SLP, OT, PT), General and Special Education Teachers and/or other applicable or interested staff. Please consider sending at least 2 team members as a start to your Local AT Team. Please share out the attached flyer as the first training opportunity will be coming up on January 31, 2024. If you have any questions about this training or have assistive technology questions in general, please feel free to contact Wendy Brown at wbrown@iu19.org and/or Melissa Orman at morman@iu19.org. We look forward to working with your teams!
